Job Title: Machining Team Lead
Location: Hastings, NE
Pay: $20.50 $26.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday Thursday or Tuesday Friday, 5: 00 AM 3: 30 PM
Overtime as needed
Position Overview
We re seeking an experienced Machining Team Lead to support and guide a 1st shift production team. In this hands-on leadership role, you ll help coordinate daily operations, support machinists, and ensure production and quality goals are met in a fast-paced environment.
What You ll Do
Operate CNC machines and perform setups as needed
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
Verify first-piece inspections and complete check sheets accurately
Maintain daily production records and documentation
Coordinate workflow and assist with scheduling
Lead and support a team of 10 15 machine operators
Troubleshoot machining issues to keep production running smoothly
Train and mentor operators at various skill levels
Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S)
Assist with equipment setup, including gauges
Communicate with management on production updates and improvements
Manage time and attendance records and complete reports as needed
What We re Looking For
Ability to read and interpret blueprints (dimensions, tolerances, revisions)
Strong knowledge of inspection tools and quality standards
Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently
Detail-oriented with a hands-on leadership approach
