Job Title: Machinist 1
Job Location: Broomfield, CO
Job Duration: 12 month on W2
Shift: M-F, 6:30-3pm CNC Operator

Job Description:
As a machinist 1 at *** Instruments, you will partner with the machine shop team, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and the technical operations teams. You will be responsible for productivity, quality, and meeting the expected daily efficacies. In this role, you will report to the Machine shop supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:
" Responsibilities include assignment planning, layout, set-up, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines
" Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
" Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
" May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions

Required Skills:
" 1+ year of related experience required
" Requires machine shop experience, ability to add and subtract decimals

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
" Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
" Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
" Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
" Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 30 pounds
" Ability to remain in a stationary position for 60% of the time
" Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
" Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
" Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
" Must be able to exchange accurate information
" Operates in a manufacturing environment
" Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
