Job Summary

Join our team in Glendale, AZ, a vibrant city known for its excellent quality of life, diverse culture, and proximity to stunning natural landscapes. We are seeking a Machinist to operate production machines in a dynamic team environment. This is a safety-sensitive role subject to random drug testing and requires an eye exam and FAA drug test. The position is a direct hire for the 1st shift, with a pay rate dependent on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, and smoothing parts.
• Make minor adjustments and report improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction.
• Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures following established methods.
• Set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts.
• Perform operations such as reaming, tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring.
• Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaces.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, cracks, or other irregularities from machined parts.
• Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using gauges or other measuring instruments.
• Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements accurately and regularly.
• Observe all prescribed safety rules and maintain the work area in an orderly condition.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-3 years of general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions or blueprints.
• Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
• Effective English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Shift Details

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am – 3 pm
