Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in Glendale, AZ, for a direct hire position on the 3rd shift. Glendale is a vibrant city known for its welcoming community, rich history, and proximity to the bustling Phoenix metropolitan area. This role involves operating production machines in a team environment, working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, and smoothing parts.
  • Make minor adjustments and report improper machine functioning or cutting action for correction and improvement.
  • Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures following established methods.
  • Set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts.
  • Perform operations such as reaming, tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring.
  • Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaces.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, cracks, or other irregularities from machined parts.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specifications using visual examination and measuring instruments.
  • Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions or blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.

Shift Details

3rd Shift: Sunday night – Thursday night, 11 PM – 7 AM (training on 1st shift for a couple of weeks).
