Machinist - 1st shift

Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 4:15 pm and Friday 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and we offer a competitive salary!

This machinist will be producing complex machined components in support of production, engineering and development, and prototyping, as well as for fabrication and repair to production tooling. This ideal candidate will have experience as a CNC operator, set ups and programming along with machinist skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up, operation and programming of Doosan vertical milling center.
• Set up and operation of a variety of manual machine tools: knee mill with Prototrak control, drill presses, tapping heads, manual lathe, surface grinder.
• Inspection of own work utilizing precision measuring instruments: calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, drop dial indicators, electronic height gage.
• Hand work requiring manual dexterity: hand tapping threads, polishing, deburring.

Requirements:

• Must have attention to detail and strong personal initiative
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Basic math skills
• Be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or two to five years related experience and/or education in Machining Technologies required
