SUMMARY \nAs a Machinist, you will write, edit, and operate manual and CNC equipment. This role also has responsibility to perform routine maintenance of equipment. Additional duties may apply as required.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES\n \nSafely and efficiently set up and operate all common machine tools and equipment. \nCan machine parts using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses. \nPerform simple to complex machine setups with little to no assistance. \nCalculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics. \nSolid working knowledge of machine tools/parts, set up, operation and maintenance. \nMonitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.\n \nQUALIFICATIONS\n \nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \n3+ years\u2019 experience with manual machines. \nTrade school education/certificate preferred. \nMachining certificates as equipment requires. \nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft packages. \nG and M code understanding. \nPreferred experience with Fanuc controllers. \nPreferred experience with O-M VTLs; Sip/K&T/Shibaura/Ikegai Mills \nPreferred manual machining experience.\n \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
