Machinist 3 CNC Lathe & Mill - 2nd Shift Mesa, AZ Monday - Thursday | 300 PM - 130 AM 4x10 Schedule
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Machinist 3 to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision metal components to exact tolerances. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, precision measurement expertise, and experience working in a production setting.
This position requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs and maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications • Determine sequence of operations, feeds, speeds, and tooling requirements • Adjust machine settings to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy • Deburr and inspect parts using precision measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, gauges • Monitor production runs and verify quality in accordance with process controls • Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure reliability and accuracy • Maintain a safe and organized work environment • Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a production environment Experience setting up and running CNC lathes and mills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Experience adjusting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut Proficiency using precision measuring instruments Basic computer knowledge for work instructions and timekeeping Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
8-10 years of machining experience Experience working in aerospace or defense manufacturing Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Experience maintaining equipment for cleanliness and accuracy Strong team collaboration and problem-solving skills
