We are seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to utilize their machining expertise in a fast-paced and innovative manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery and cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Machinist, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Operating and maintaining various types of machining equipment including calipers, lathes, CNC milling machines, grinders, and micrometers.

2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.

3. Setting up and operating manual machining equipment as well as CNC machinery.

4. Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.

5. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement machining processes for new products.

6. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

7. Troubleshooting and resolving machining problems to ensure optimal equipment performance.

8. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a machining role within the manufacturing industry.

2. Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of machining equipment including calipers, lathes, CNC milling machines, grinders, and micrometers.

3. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

4. Experience in manual machining is highly desirable.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.

7. Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

8. A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

10. A high school diploma or equivalent qualification. A certificate or degree in a related field is a plus.
