Responsibilities:

Perform the required duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies.

  • Set-up and operate piston rod saws.
  • Set-up and operate tie rod shear and thread rolling operation.
  • Perform daily tasks to produce parts, including but not limited to:
  • Loading/unloading equipment
  • Gathering materials/components
  • Positioning work area
  • Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Perform visual inspection of parts and basic ring gauge verification.
  • Review basic blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.
  • Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
  • Deal ethically with Parkers customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.
  • Actively participate in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Maintain work areas by cleaning and organizing the space and equipment.
  • Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Basic math skills required
  • Basic understanding of gauging, measuring devices required
  • Basic blueprint understanding required
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
  • Ideally, you will also have 2 years of previous machining experience.

  • The starting rate for this position is $23.41/hour and goes up to $28.06/hour. While on second shift, a $1.00/hour shift premium is available.
