CNC Machinist II (Job Shop / Precision Manufacturing)
Pay: $20–$24/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Multiple Schedule Options (OT Available)
Job Type: Hourly | Non-Exempt
Location: Tulsa, OK


CNC Machinist II – Must-Have Requirements

  • 3–5+ years CNC machining experience in job shop or manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes
  • Ability to make minor CNC program edits
  • Strong math skills (angles, feeds/speeds, fraction-to-decimal conversions)
  • Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a production-driven environment with quality focus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

CNC Machinist II – Position Summary

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment
  • Maintain production within assigned work cell while meeting quality standards
  • Support and mentor less experienced machinists
  • Ensure efficient machining operations through proper setup and tooling
  • Maintain consistent output in a fast-paced machine shop environment

CNC Machinist II – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing specs
  • Perform minor edits to CNC programs as needed
  • Calculate feeds, speeds, and machining parameters for optimal results
  • Inspect parts using calipers, O.D./I.D. micrometers, and other precision tools
  • Maintain tooling accuracy and verify inserts and setups
  • Follow 5S and lean manufacturing practices
  • Maintain productivity within assigned cell
  • Train and mentor junior machinists
  • Communicate with leads and team members regarding production and quality issues
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

CNC Machinist II – Additional Qualifications

  • Job shop machining experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing environments a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
