Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, set-ups, and G&M code programming. This position requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience
Candidates should have between 5 to 30 years of work experience in machining, with a strong focus on CNC operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate various CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
Set up machines for production runs, including tooling, work-holding devices, and raw materials
Program CNC machines using G&M code, making necessary adjustments and optimizations
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
Perform quality control checks and maintain precise tolerances throughout the manufacturing process
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and product quality
Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
Document work processes, production data, and quality control results
Required Skills and Qualifications
5-30 years of experience in CNC machining
Proficiency in CNC machine operation, set-ups, and G&M code programming
Strong understanding of machining principles, metalworking, and manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Experience with various materials, including metals, plastics, and composites
Proficient in using precision measuring tools and gauges
Knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO standards
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications preferred
