We seek a skilled and ambitious Master Machinist-Engines to join our Brand New, air-conditioned Remanufacturing Shop.

What You'll Do:

  • Recondition industrial engine components (cylinder blocks, crankshafts, rods, etc.) back to peak performance.
  • Operate a variety of machines, including surface grinders, polishers, and CNC equipment.
  • Perform tasks like cam bearing installation, bolt hole repairs, crack repairs, and pressure testing.
  • Utilize your knowledge of metals, repair procedures, and shop math to deliver exceptional results.
  • Continuously improve your skills and contribute to team success.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other personnel.

Who You Are:
  • 5+ years of experience in engine machining
  • Familiarity with Rottler CNC machining equipment
  • Expertise in using precision measuring tools
  • Experience operating various machine tools (knee mill, manual lathe, Sunnen rod hone, etc.) is preferred
  • Ability to polish crankshafts and camshafts
  • Experience with Magnaflux testing techniques
  • You own your own basic tooling(some specialty tools provided)
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ready to tackle physical demands (lifting, standing, bending).

In 1955, Mr. Harold Bone’s vision to start a new company that would sell and support construction and mining equipment came true with the opening of the Road Machinery facility on 7th Street in Phoenix, AZ. The company’s first products included street sweepers, motor graders, compressors and for the mining industry, WABCO/Haulpak trucks.

In 2000 Road Machinery Co. was purchased by Komatsu America. Komatsu subsequently sold Road Machinery in 2005 to Mitsui & Co., LTD (a $50 billion dollar/year corporation). In 2008 Road Machinery expanded by purchasing the assets of Shanahan Equipment, the Komatsu distributor for northern California. Road Machinery now has 18 facilities located throughout Arizona, California, New Mexico and west Texas.

Road Machinery sells, rents, services and provides parts support for premium quality products. The product lines now include Komatsu construction, mining and forestry equipment, the Wirtgen family of products (Wirtgen mills, Hamm compaction rollers, Vogele pavers and Kleeman crushers), plus numerous quality attachments like NPK hammers, Hensley ground engaging tools and Mega water products.
