Description: You will be the Machinist General Specialist for our manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce metal parts and mechanisms with exacting tolerances and dimensions.

What You Will Be Doing: As the Machinist General Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to manufacture high-quality parts. You will interpret blueprints, determine sequences of operations, and use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and precision. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes • Interpreting blueprints and engineering specifications • Determining sequence of operations and making standard shop computations • Using machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments • Measuring, marking, and scribing dimensions and reference points • Fitting and assembling precision parts into mechanical equipment

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

ICsBasic Qualifications: Previous experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, tool setting. 1-3 years experience. Facility requires special access so the selected candidate must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, SPC and basic knowledge of CNC programming.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
