Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds Work from drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to make components Work to close tolerances Use precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc. Keep work area and equipment clean Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization. And other duties as assigned.
