Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure quality standards
Adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and efficiency
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Document production activities and report issues to leadership
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with measurement tools and quality inspection processes
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred:
Technical certification in machining or related field
CNC programming or setup experience
