We're looking for a Machinist who can independently set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment and take pride in producing parts that meet exacting specifications.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll be trusted to work with minimal supervision on routine jobs while exercising sound judgment on more complex machining assignments. Your day-to-day work will include:
Set up, program, operate, and maintain CNC machines to manufacture precision parts from detailed blueprints
Perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, reaming, boring, turning, facing, and more-holding tight tolerances
Select operation sequences, tools, feeds, speeds, and fixtures required for each job
Read, write, and troubleshoot machine G-code (Haas programming)
Develop or modify tools and fixtures for unique or non-standard operations
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height gauges)
Follow all safety requirements and shop best practices
Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of related machining experience
Proven experience with CNC setup and operation
Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
Working knowledge of Haas CNC programming (G-code)
Familiarity with standard inspection and measurement tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Preferred Experience
Hands on experience with equipment such as Haas VF Vertical Mills, Haas EC Horizontal Mills, Datron machines, or similar CNC platforms
Solid understanding of machine tools and fixturing
Working Environment
This position is based in a fabrication shop environment and includes:
Standing and walking on concrete floors for portions of the shift
Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Working near rotating spindles and machining equipment
Required use of safety glasses, steel toe boots, and hearing protection as needed
Occasional forklift operation
