Machinist - Manual - 1st shift

Title: Manual Machinist
Location: Itasca, IL
Hire Type: Contract to Hire (6 months)
Shift : 1st shift M-F

Must have Skill Set: Manual Mill experience needed  

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with strong Bridgeport mill experience to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused strictly on manual machining — no CNC work. If you take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and working directly from prints, this is a great opportunity. 

Job Duties:  

• Operate Bridgeport manual mills to machine precision parts
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Set up, machine, and inspect parts to print specifications
• Perform measurements using standard inspection tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:  

• Proven experience operating Bridgeport mills (required)
• Strong ability to read and interpret prints
• Experience machining parts manually (no CNC)
• Ability to hold tight tolerances
• Dependable and able to work overtime
