Position Description
- Operate medium to large manual lathes to machine parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances.
- Load, unload, and position materials and finished parts using overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Inspect finished work to verify compliance with quality standards and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain and use personal machinist tools required to perform job duties.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while operating equipment and handling materials.
- Be willing to learn additional machines, processes, and job responsibilities as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals and deadlines.
- Overtime and Saturday work may be required based on production demands.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating manual lathes, preferably medium to large-sized equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and understand machining tolerances.
- Experience using overhead cranes preferred.
- Must provide own machinist tools.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
