The candidates must have a minimum of:
a. Eligibility to work in New York State
b. High School Diploma or equivalent
c. Two years of experience working in customer service
d. Two years of experience using a computer ms office suite, outlook word.
e. Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform physical work for three hours per day (including the ability to lift and move mail, packages, office supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds)A dolly will be used to move items, but candidates must be able to lift and move mail, packages, office supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds.
2. Job Description and Required Services:
• Receive, process, sort, track, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including USPS, overnight deliveries, certified mail, and electronic package processing using departmental tracking systems.
• Prepare mailings and documents for distribution, including operating mailing and folder/inserter equipment, assisting staff with mailing needs, and determining appropriate mailing methods.
• Maintain inventory and distribute office supplies, process supply orders, and coordinate with vendors and delivery services to support daily operations.
• Generate reports, maintain records, and utilize departmental systems to track data, process requests, and submit maintenance work orders.
• Provide administrative and operational support to Office Services and Facilities Management, including vendor coordination, records retention activities, and other assigned projects.
• Assist with the maintenance and support of office equipment, including copiers and printers, and provide basic troubleshooting and toner replacement.
• Supervise subordinate staff as assigned and complete required training and other duties in support of departmental operations.
• Assist with deliveries, office moves, equipment installations, and other operational support duties as needed.
*This is an in-office position. Telecommuting is not permitted.
