Role: Mail Clerk Location: Canton, MD (On-site, 5 days a week) Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking mail clerks for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Canton, MD. The ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of mailroom and data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. This role involves both physical and digital mail handling, with a strong focus on data entry for medical, dental, and vision claims.

Responsibilities:

• Open, sort, and scan incoming mail (30% of the job).
• Perform high-volume data entry (70% of the job).
• Enter claim details into LUMINX system (10 claims/hour, 10 batches/day).
• Work with medical, dental, and vision claims.
• Meet daily production and turnaround targets.
• Use basic medical terminology during data entry.
• Attend a 2-week training led by a dedicated trainer.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a mailroom and data entry role.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong typing and time management skills.
• Ability to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of LUMINX system is a plus (will be trained).
