Mail Clerk (On-site)

Our client is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Mail Clerks to support school testing operations during a busy assessment period. 

Candidates will work alongside existing staff and receive training on all processes and procedures. Due to the time-sensitive nature of school assessment materials, the environment is deadline-driven and requires individuals who can maintain accuracy while working at a steady pace.

• Receive, sort, and unpack incoming mail and materials
• Prepare, organize, and package outgoing mail and testing materials
• Operate scanning and printing machines
• Perform basic data entry and information lookup tasks
• Maintain records, notes, and filing systems
• Alphabetize and organize documents and testing materials
• Process incoming materials for scanning and distribution
• Assist with printing and mailing approximately 500 school assessment answer sheet packages
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive testing documents
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to communicate professionally through email and written correspondence
• Ability to follow instructions and work within established procedures
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to lift and move reams of paper, packages, and document boxes throughout the workday
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with continuous movement

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous mailroom, clerical, scanning, filing, or production support experience preferred
• Experience with NYS assessments is helpful but not required
