Description

Role: Responsible for the accurate and efficient distribution of mail and supplies for the credit union.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for gathering, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail from the administrative office of the credit union. This includes U.S. Mail, interoffice mail, Federal Express, UPS deliveries, supplies, promotional items, etc. to/from various departments and branches, including special request items.
  • Responsible for gathering, logging, and transferring checks from the branches to the main office daily.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the loading dock, mail, and storage areas.
  • Deliver and/or pick up special order requests from Federal Reserve, vendors, or other businesses as needed.
  • Makes minor maintenance repairs such as changing light bulbs, painting, wall covering, etc.
  • Responsible for moving furniture and office equipment as needed.
  • May perform custodial duties as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  1. To carry out assigned responsibilities with a minimum number of errors according to established department standards.
  2. To ensure daily delivery and pickups are made with zero errors.
  3. To maintain the cleanliness of mail and storage areas to the prescribed standards set by the supervisor.
  4. To provide friendly, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and employees.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience - The job can be learned in hours, days or weeks. Will be trained on the job.

Education - A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills - Normal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contact within the organization. Contact involves routine, non-sensitive issues. Member or vendor contact is limited to incidental contact.

Other Skills - Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle independently. Must be able to operate general office equipment, including calculator/10-key, photocopy machine, and telephone.

Physical Requirements - Some heavy lifting is required.

Work Environment - Office and external environment.
