Job Title: Mail/Finishing Level 1
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Pay: $18/hr
Essential Functions:
Receive, sort, and process mail, documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients as needed
Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs
Record and process accountable mail information, maintain logs
Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services
Prepare mail and packages for external shipment and coordinate pickups and deliveries
Perform quality checks on outbound mail and validate internal mail addresses
Conduct barcode address lookups and use common mail services, including fax, air express, and postal services
Complete shipping forms manually or electronically in shipping terminals per job ticket
Perform finishing work on documents (folding, insertion) and electronic mail distribution (open, scan, distribute)
Conduct fulfillment tasks, including assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials
Follow mailroom security procedures, barcode track or face scan incoming mail/packages
Log, transmit, and distribute faxes timely
Operate automated shipping and receiving systems, monitor and replenish supplies
Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet requirements
Fully operate, clean, and maintain all shipping and mail equipment; contact service as needed
Determine output packaging per packaging standards
Operate finishing equipment such as inserters, postage meters, envelope printers, scales, and FedEx/Pitney Bowes systems
Drive for mail delivery/pickup, if required
Skills:
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Demonstrate reading, writing, and comprehension of English instructions
Basic PC and Internet skills, including:
Open applications, manage files/folders, send emails with attachments
Navigate websites and perform basic online searches
Introductory knowledge of MS Word and Excel (data entry, basic formatting, printing)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision
Demonstrated data entry skills
Experience:
Experience delivering services in a client-facing environment
Education:
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalency
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
