Job Title: Mail/Finishing Level 1
Location: Mobile, AL
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: 6:00am-3:30 pm
Pay: $16.56 - $21.11
This position does require 25%-50% Driving, using your a company provided vehicle. Must have a valid US Driver's license and no more than on moving violation in the past three years.
Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients as needed
Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled routes
Record and process accountable mail; maintain required logs
Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services
Prepare mail and packages for external shipment; coordinate deliveries and pick-ups (may include USPS)
Perform quality checks on outbound mail
Validate internal mail addresses and perform barcode address lookups
Use common mail services including fax, air express, and postal services
Complete shipping forms manually or electronically per job ticket
Perform finishing work such as folding and inserting documents
Perform electronic mail distribution (open, prep, scan, and distribute)
Fulfill requests including assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials
Follow all mailroom security procedures
Barcode track or face-scan incoming mail and packages
Log, transmit, receive, and distribute faxes in a timely manner
Perform shipping and receiving using automated tracking systems
Monitor, order, and replenish supplies inventory related to mail and distribution
Send and receive email communications
Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements
Fully operate, clean, and maintain all mail and shipping equipment
Contact service providers for mail and shipping equipment when required
Determine output packaging per packaging standards (e.g., books, tabs, etc.)
Driving duties as required
Utilize mail equipment per training, including:
Finishing equipment
Inserters
Postage meters
Envelope printers
Scales
Pitney Bowes Mail Management systems
FedEx shipping systems
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to read, write, and follow English instructions
Basic PC and Internet skills, including:
Opening applications
Creating and locating file folders
Finding, opening, renaming, deleting, and recovering files
Sending and managing emails, including attachments and folders
Basic internet navigation
Introductory knowledge of MS Word or equivalent
Introductory knowledge of MS Excel or equivalent
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Ability to perform data entry
Experience delivering services in a client environment
High School diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
