Mailroom Associate
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.34–$21.62/hour (DOE)
Duration: 1 Year
Job Summary
Seeking a Mailroom Associate to support high-volume mail processing, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations. This role involves operating mail equipment, preparing outbound shipments, processing incoming mail, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Operate mailroom equipment, including inserters, sorters, postage meters, and shipping systems
- Receive, sort, process, and distribute mail, packages, and supplies
- Prepare outbound mail and packages for shipment
- Track, trace, and resolve mail and shipping issues
- Perform document finishing, folding, inserting, packaging, and fulfillment activities
- Maintain mailing lists, address records, and tracking systems
- Conduct quality checks on outbound mail and shipments
- Monitor and replenish mailroom and shipping supplies
- Coordinate courier, USPS, FedEx, and other delivery services
- Maintain mailroom security procedures
- Clean and perform basic maintenance on mailroom equipment
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of mailroom experience and mail equipment operation
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Data entry and recordkeeping experience preferred
- Experience with mailing, shipping, and tracking systems preferred
Preferred Skills- Knowledge of USPS, FedEx, and shipping procedures
- Experience with production mail software and mail merge processes
- Ability to train and support team members
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
