Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a remote mail-order pharmacy team supporting prescription processing, clinical verification, patient counseling, and provider communication activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate medication dispensing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced call center and pharmacy operations environment.
This opportunity offers exposure to specialty pharmacy operations and participation in workflow optimization efforts as the organization prepares for an upcoming migration to ScriptMed Cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical prescription verification and ensure accuracy of medication orders prior to dispensing.
- Review prescriptions for completeness, appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and dosing accuracy.
- Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, storage requirements, and adherence.
- Communicate with prescribers and healthcare providers regarding prescription clarifications, refill requests, and therapy recommendations.
- Support order processing workflows within a mail-order pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and operations teams to ensure timely prescription fulfillment.
- Provide expertise regarding safe medication use and pharmaceutical care.
- Participate in prescription workflow management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Conduct patient education and wellness discussions as appropriate.
- Document interventions, communications, and clinical activities accurately within pharmacy systems.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations and policies.
- Support implementation and transition activities related to ScriptMed Cloud and other pharmacy technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license.
- Ability to work full-time in a remote environment.
- Strong clinical knowledge of prescription medications and pharmacy operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mail-order pharmacy or specialty pharmacy operations.
- Experience with ScriptMed Enterprise or ScriptMed Cloud.
- Experience performing clinical prescription verification.
- Experience counseling patients and communicating with providers.
- Prior remote pharmacy experience.

The ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacist with strong prescription verification and patient counseling experience who thrives in a fast-paced remote environment. Candidates with mail-order, specialty pharmacy, or ScriptMed experience will be highly preferred.
