Mail Production Machine Operator

Machine Operator- Bolingbrook IL

Location: Bolingbrook, IL 
Shift: 
Shift A: Sunday-Tuesday Alternating Wednesday
Shift B: Thursday-Saturday Alternating Wednesday
Pay:
Shift A: $20/hour (Temp-to-hire)
Shift B: $20/hour (Temp-to-hire)

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort printed materials by job type, size, or customer specifications
• Inspect products for defects, misprints, or quality issues
• Remove damaged or incorrect items from production lines
• Stack, bundle, and organize materials for further processing or shipping
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist machine operators and supervisors as needed
• Meet daily production and accuracy targets
• Safety: PPE compliant, LOTO-aware for the equipment they run, near-miss reporting, hazard identification.
• Mail integrity & quality: understands OMR / 2D / barcode read systems, IMb requirements, and USPS mail prep impact at the piece level.
• Documentation: job logging, machine logging downtime, reason codes, and job changeovers logged accurately per shift.
• Housekeeping: clean work area, organized changeover parts/tooling, proper staging.

Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Basic communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs (if required)
• Previous warehouse or production experience preferred but not required
