Mail Room Processing Specialist
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Location: Mesa, AZ 85201
Temp to Hire.


Summary

Support high-volume mail processing by opening, sorting, auditing, and scanning incoming documents. Maintain accuracy, follow strict sorting rules, and meet daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort, batch, and process thousands of documents per day.
  • Open, review, and scan incoming mail accurately.
  • Cross-reference client/city details for proper sorting.
  • Enter data and attach barcodes using internal systems.
  • Work at multiple standing processing stations.
  • Maintain accuracy and speed under tight deadlines.
  • Report system issues or process concerns to leadership.
  • Support special projects and assist team as needed.

Required Skills

  • Mailroom, clerical, or document processing experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Comfortable with scanning, barcoding, and using office equipment.
  • Clear communication and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Standing for majority of shift
  • Reliable transportation.
