Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for customer service, logistics, and continuous improvement? This position works as a dynamic professional to lead the department's enterprise mail operations that support various county agencies, departments, and Board offices.

In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee the county's centralized mail services operation, ensuring the timely, accurate, secure, and cost-effective delivery of critical communications and mail throughout the organization. As the Mail Services Chief, you will provide operational and administrative leadership for county-wide mail services, including:

  • Manages the distribution of USPS and interoffice mail throughout Fairfax County facilities.
  • Oversees bulk mail processing and postage management to ensure efficient and cost-effective mailing operations.
  • Ensures compliance with USPS regulations, postal requirements, and County policies.
  • Supervises and develops Mail Services personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and - customer service.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal customers, USPS representatives, and external vendors.
  • Monitors operational performance, preparing reports, managing budgets, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Work location: this position is fully onsite and requires daily presence to oversee mail operations, personnel, equipment, and customer service.
