Mailroom Associate – Night Shift

Pay Rate: Up to $16.50/hr
Full-Time | Sunday – Thursday Nights
⏰ Shift: 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM (or until work is completed)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mailroom Associate to support Treasury Management Operations within a fast-paced lockbox processing environment. This position is responsible for receiving and sorting incoming mail, operating automated mail sorting equipment, preparing outgoing mail and packages, and supporting production workflow deadlines.
This is a production-driven role that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work under strict deadlines, and flexibility to work overtime when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily
- Scan priority, certified, express, and FedEx packages
- Operate automated MPS40 mail sorting equipment
- Prepare incoming and outgoing mail bins for processing
- Sort and stage completed lockbox batches for outgoing mail
- Print and maintain proper mail-out labels
- Ensure timely delivery of mail to production teams
- Monitor courier deliveries and outgoing shipments
- Assist with identifying and resolving mailroom processing errors
- Complete daily operational and production reports
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment
- Escalate operational issues to management as needed
- Cross-train and assist team members when necessary
- Maintain production goals and service level agreements (SLAs)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of lockbox, mailroom, production, or related operational experience preferred
- Experience in production-oriented or deadline-driven environments
- Basic computer and office equipment skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Ability to work overtime and remain until work is completed
- Must successfully pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
