Contract Length: 23 Weeks, with Potential to Extend
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00$24.00 per hour
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk for a short-term contract opportunity in Dallas, TX. This position will support daily mailroom operations, including sorting and distributing incoming mail, preparing outgoing shipments, coordinating courier services, and maintaining mailroom supplies and equipment.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment, and able to handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries accurately and efficiently.
Prepare outgoing letters, documents, packages, and shipments.
Process postage and ensure outgoing materials are properly labeled and shipped.
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with third-party couriers and shipping providers.
Operate mailroom equipment, including postage machines, scanners, copiers, and folding machines.
Monitor and maintain inventory of mailroom and shipping supplies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient mailroom workspace.
Handle confidential and sensitive documents with discretion.
Assist with general mailroom and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
Previous mailroom, shipping/receiving, office services, or administrative experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable operating standard office and mailroom equipment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependable with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
