Department: Mailroom Graduate Assistant

Supervisor: Falcon Campus Store Manager

  • Hours per week: 20 hours a week
  • Stipend/Benefits: Tuition waived up to 24 credits & a $1000 stipend for the academic year

Role Summary:

The Mailroom Graduate Assistant oversees the daily operations of the mailroom, ensuring the accurate, timely, and secure receipt, sorting, processing, and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. This position also covers the Falcon Campus Store as needed

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, process, and deliver all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Daily distribution of mail to departments, faculty, staff, students, and other recipients.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping expenses.
  • Resolve mail and package discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operate the postage meter.

Required Qualifications

  • Three to five years of mailroom, shipping, logistics, or related operations experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate mailroom equipment and delivery vehicle.
  • 20 hours per week (4 hours a day)
  • Monday - Friday 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master's program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:

  • Accounting (only two spots available)

  • Business Administration

  • Criminal Justice

  • Management and Organizational Leadership

  • Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)

  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in [Microsoft Office/Google Workspace].
