Mailroom & Office Services Coordinator

Pay: $17.50 - $18/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Location: Latrobe, PA 15650
Duration: 2-month assignment covering a leave of absence


Overview:

This position supports office and mail operations within a large steel mill environment in Latrobe, PA. The role is primarily office-based but requires regular travel throughout the facility to deliver mail and support multiple departments. Candidates must be comfortable working in both administrative and industrial environments while following all required safety procedures and PPE guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Shipping & Mail Services

  • Receive and track inbound accountable mail and packages.
  • Process outgoing USPS, UPS, and internal shipments.
  • Maintain records for deliveries, supplies, and warehouse inventory.
  • Deliver mail throughout a multi-campus facility.
  • Move boxes of paper and supplies, including occasional stair use.


Reception & Office Support

  • Provide copy and print production services.
  • Print security badges and safety signage.
  • Support records retention and document management functions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal employees and departments.


Imaging & Document Processing

  • Prepare, scan, and index approximately 27,000 pages monthly.
  • Perform supply inventory and restocking duties.
  • Maintain organized and accurate digital records.


Work Environment:

  • Combination of office and steel mill production environments.
  • PPE required in designated production areas, including hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, high-visibility outerwear, and gloves as needed.
  • Site can provide most PPE equipment; limited steel-toed footwear may require use of slip-on toe protection.
  • Position requires standing, walking, lifting boxes of paper and supplies, and use of ladders, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other moving equipment.
  • Parking is provided onsite.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience in mailroom, copy, imaging, shipping, or office services preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using printers, copiers, postage equipment, or related office technology preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license required for potential future conversion opportunities.


Dress Code:

  • Polo or golf-style shirt with long pants.
  • Closed-toe shoes required in office areas; sneakers permitted.
  • Steel-toed boots required in shipping and production areas.
  • Additional PPE required based on assigned tasks.
