Main Street Coordinator

Hahira, a Main Street-accredited municipality holding a Classic Designation, of approximately 3500 residents and 50 city employees, is accepting applications for the hire of a Main Street Coordinator. Applicant should have education and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing, public relations, business administration, public administration, retailing, volunteer or non-profit administration, event coordination, and/or small business development. Applicant must be entrepreneurial, energetic, imaginative, well-organized, and capable of functioning effectively in an independent situation. Applicant must possess excellent written communication and public relation skills, and the ability to interact effectively with citizens, developers, business owners, property owners, and other employees. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in a Main Street community.

The position is full time working 40 hours per week. The Main Street Coordinator will work under the supervision of the City Manager. The starting salary for this position is $40,000 annually.
