Contract Details

About the Opportunity
This contract role supports the analysis, development, and maintenance of critical mainframe applications for a public-sector organization. You will work on enhancing existing systems, resolving defects, and ensuring stable performance while collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, implement, and support mainframe applications.
  • Develop and maintain code in Natural; revise and adapt existing programs.
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and optimize performance.
  • Plan and execute system and user-acceptance testing; debug based on results.
  • Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation; provide status updates.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, software upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Provide on-site support as needed and perform after-hours corrective actions when required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Natural software development.
  • 5+ years of ADABAS database development.
  • Experience with TSO, JCL, FTP, and COBOL.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and preparing technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL Server experience.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid eligible: remote work with the ability to provide on-site support in Dover, DE as needed.
  • May require occasional after-hours support.
  • Security/background screening may be required.
