Pay Range: $40 - $45/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Application Developer with a strong background in IBM mainframes, Cobol, IMS DB, DB2, JCL, MQ series, and Xpeditor. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in application development, excluding production support profiles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in IBM mainframes, Cobol, IMS DB, DB2, JCL, MQ series, and Xpeditor
• Strong testing experience (unit, integration, contract)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and offer recommendations
• Demonstrated quick learner with a self-starter attitude
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of Spring Boot and Git
• Experience in IT IS_AMS_Mainframe_IMS Administration
• Experience in System Z - Enterprise COBOL and System Z - JCL

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and maintain applications
• Assist Quality Assurance teams in testing applications
• Peer review code and technical documents for other team members
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve application failures
• Assist in research and issue resolution for processing of business data
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and coordinate with respective support teams to resolve software and hardware issues
