About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mainframe Developer to join our client's team in the tech sector. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of mainframe applications, providing technical support for system upgrades, and ensuring seamless integration of mainframe systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in coding, testing, and debugging mainframe applications.
- Provide technical support for mainframe system upgrades and enhancements.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to mainframe performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems.
- Document mainframe processes and procedures for future reference and compliance.
- Develop, test, and deploy code changes for claims processing systems based on technical specifications.
- Monitor daily batch jobs and resolve ABENDs within defined SLA timelines.
- Assist in unit and integration testing of new healthcare compliance updates.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and runbooks for the Operate team.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Mainframe application development (COBOL, JCL, DB2).
- Familiarity with incident and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Prior experience in the healthcare/insurance domain is highly preferred.
