Mainframe Developer

Hybrid 3 days onsite 3 days remote
18 Month W2 Contract
$60-$68/hour
Role: Mainframe Developer (COBOL / DB2 / SQL)
Core Requirements
Strong experience with:
COBOL
DB2
SQL
Hands-on mainframe development experience
Familiarity with ISPW (used for managing development via containers)
Experience working in an Agile environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience in post-trade processing environments
- Reconciliation experience
- Familiarity with books and records
Team / Environment
- Candidate will work within a structured development framework using vendor-managed tools
- Processes are governed through formal systems (limited direct deviation)
- Manager values candidates who are comfortable working within established systems and controls
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Solid mainframe developer with strong COBOL/DB2 background
- Comfortable working within structured, tool-driven environments (ISPW)
- Exposure to financial services operations, especially post-trade
- Able to operate within governed processes rather than ad-hoc development
