Mainframe Engineer

We are currently sourcing for a Mainframe Engineer to work in Westlake, TX!

Seeking a Mainframe Developer with superb technical skills to develop and maintain high-volume production platforms in the Customer Financial Communications area.

The mission is to provide best-in-class applications and support for business units to meet regulatory obligations related to trade confirmations, statements, and other financial communications. As part of this effort, you will engage with systems and business partners to deliver high-quality and innovative software solutions. We are an engineering team that is part of the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology organization. Working together and with other engineering and product teams, we deliver the right financial communications products to our customers by aligning the right skillsets to the most critical business priorities. The work is diverse, challenging, and provides continuous learning and growth opportunities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
• Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM

Knowledge of distributed technologies would be a plus

• Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments

Deploy and support software releases into production environments

• Employ your data security skills to keep our customers' information safe
• You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
• Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
