Job Title: Mainframe MQ Engineer

Location: Bakersfield, CA OR Remote

Pay Rate Range: $50.00/Hr. - $60.00/Hr.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience supporting IBM MQ on z/OS, including hands-on expertise with Queue Managers (QMGRs), queues, and channels in enterprise environments.
Strong experience with z/OS tools and mainframe technologies such as ISPF, JCL, SDSF, JES, and VSAM, with integration knowledge of DB2, CICS, IMS, and TCP/IP.
Experience in MQ monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support, including alerting, automation, logging, clustering, connectivity methods, and support activities such as incident management, change management, and MQ upgrades/DR.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with IBM i MQ environments, including high availability and disaster recovery tools such as MIMIX and DB2 Mirror.
Understanding or exposure to SMP/E, DB2, CICS, IMS, Network/TCPIP, and Mainframe automation tools such as OPS/MVS related to MQ environments.
