Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe z/OS Developer with strong expertise in IBM mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, and VSAM. The ideal candidate will support enterprise mainframe applications, modernization initiatives, and migration projects while collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high performance solutions. Experience with AI assisted modernization tools and mainframe DevOps practices is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications on IBM z/OS
- Develop and maintain COBOL programs for batch and online processing
- Create and maintain JCL for batch job execution
- Develop and support applications using CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM
- Perform application enhancements, maintenance, debugging, and issue resolution
- Support mainframe modernization and migration initiatives
- Analyze existing legacy applications and recommend modernization strategies
- Perform batch processing and online transaction processing support
- Utilize IBM utilities, TSO/ISPF, Abend AID, File AID, Control M, and Control D for development and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Java developers and cross functional teams during integration and migration efforts
- Participate in risk assessment, migration planning, and resource management activities
- Leverage AI driven tools for code analysis, documentation, testing, and modernization support
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards, including RACF
- Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands on experience with COBOL programming on IBM z/OS

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
