    Description

    OverviewThe Maintainability Engineer Senior plays a critical role in ensuring that aircraft systems, structures, and components are designed for efficient, safe, and cost‑effective maintenance throughout the lifecycle of the aircraft. This position collaborates closely with design engineering, customer support, reliability, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to embed maintainability requirements early in development and validate maintenance procedures before entry into service. The ideal candidate blends engineering expertise with deep understanding of aircraft operations, maintenance environments, and regulatory frameworks influencing aircraft supportability.ResponsibilitiesLeads maintainability integration for major systems or subsystems.Anticipates long‑term maintenance impacts and drives design modifications early.Performs trade studies and influences configuration decisions with engineering leadership.Leads MSG3 analyses for complex systems.Optimizes maintenance intervals and drives alignment with reliability data.Partners with customer support to finalize task logic for maintenance planning documents.Develops detailed maintainability models and advanced analyses.Interprets results to influence design optimization.Correlates forecasted maintenance burden with operational data.Leads integrated maintenance demo events across systems.Interfaces with test, manufacturing, and prototype build teams to resolve issues.Drives corrective action implementation.Leads cross‑functional issue resolution for maintainability topics.Ensures maintenance procedures are user‑friendly and aligned with real‑world operator needs.Leads maintainability related certification work packages.Interfaces with DERs/DARs and prepares significant sections of certification documents.Travel of 25% may be required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.4–7 years of experience in aircraft reliability engineering, maintainability engineering, or a related field, or equivalent A&P mechanic experience.Strong technical background in aircraft systems, maintenance, and reliability engineering.Familiarity with FMEA/FMECA, FRACAS, MSG‑3, RCM, ZSA.Experience supporting CFR (FAR) Part135 operations.Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, reliability testing, and continuous improvement methodologies.Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change.BenefitsOur Benefits: Cirrus provides a range of exciting benefits, including:Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, vision, dental, with additional dependent coverage optionsEmployer‑Paid Coverages: Group term life, short‑ and long‑term disability insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts: FSA and HSA offerings with company contributions to HSAWell‑being: Calm Health, Employee Assistance Program, and wellness incentives through medical provider401(k) Plan: Dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 5% after 90 days, with 100% vesting at 1 year of servicePTO: Various PTO plans starting at 100 hours accrued within the first yearAdditional Time off Benefits: Paid holidays, 2 weeks of Paid Parental leave, paid time for funeral leave and jury dutyCareer Development: Tuition reimbursement program and professional growth opportunitiesExclusive Discounts: Cirrus Store, partner and marketplace discounts availableCommunity & Engagement: Company and employee clubs at various locationsPay RangeSalary Range: USD $100,513.49 per year – USD $150,770.23 per year.#J-18808-Ljbffr
