Maintenance Technician – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Pay: $40.62/hour + Shift Differential
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available

Compensation & Shifts

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM — $40.62/hour
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM — $42.62/hour ($2.00 shift differential)
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM — $43.12/hour ($2.50 shift differential)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong electrical, controls, PLC, CNC, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. This is a highly technical industrial maintenance position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, rebuilding, and repairing production equipment, control systems, and facility equipment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, CNC equipment diagnostics, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, rebuild, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment controls, including PLCs, PCs, and custom controllers.
  • Program and troubleshoot electronic control circuits used on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot components including servos, encoders, relays, light curtains, proximity sensors, switches, optical readers, power supplies, and I/O systems.
  • Interpret, write, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic programs and associated electrical circuits.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics on CNC equipment, including servo motors, servo valves, controller I/O, and encoders.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and programmable control systems.
  • Read, interpret, and create electrical circuit drawings and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PC and network-based equipment.
  • Build and rebuild production equipment, control panels, wiring, and safety systems.
  • Complete mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry projects as needed.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
  • Track equipment repair costs and assist with materials lists for maintenance projects.
  • Perform welding and brazing for equipment building and repair.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Electronics, PC Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field with emphasis on PLCs, controls, hydraulics, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of on-the-job controls experience may be considered in place of a degree when additional requirements are met.
  • Strong experience with PLC ladder logic programming and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose complex electrical and electronic control systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machinery and controls.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to build and wire control panels and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and circuit drawings.
  • Ability to use standard hand tools and most tool room machinery.
  • Welding and brazing ability preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully complete forklift operation training and required vision examination.
