    Job Overview: The Facilities & Maintenance Lead is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and execution of all facility and maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role serves as the primary technical resource for facility infrastructure, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance while providing direction and support to maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors.

    The ideal candidate will possess extensive industrial electrical experience, electrical troubleshooting skills, facility infrastructure knowledge, and experience with preventive maintenance programs. This position is responsible for developing maintenance strategies, managing facility-related projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that maximize uptime and operational performance.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Facility Management

    Lead all maintenance and facility operations to support safe and efficient business operations.Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, repairs, and facility improvement projects.Provide technical leadership, training, and guidance to maintenance personnel.Manage outside contractors, vendors, and service providers performing facility work.Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Monitor maintenance metrics, downtime trends, and equipment reliability.Support annual maintenance budgeting and capital improvement planning.

    Electrical & Infrastructure Responsibilities

    Serve as the facility subject matter expert for electrical systems and power distribution.Oversee maintenance, operation, and repair of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.Review and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and facility infrastructure.Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local electrical codes and regulations.

    Maintenance & Reliability

    Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and building systems.Ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders and facility requests.Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

    Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to improve safety and efficiency.

    Safety & Compliance

    Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Lead facility safety inspections and maintenance audits.Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs and electrical safety initiatives.Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/ExperienceRequired

    High school diploma or GED.

    8+ years of industrial maintenance, facilities, or electrical experience.Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance activities and coordinate resources effectively.

    Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, motors, drives, PLCs, and facility equipment.

    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals.Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and facility support systems.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform the physical aspects of the role when required.

    Preferred

    Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

    Experience with medium- or high-voltage electrical systems.

    OSHA 30 certification.NFPA 70E training.

    Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms and industrial controls.Experience with CMMS systems.Background in manufacturing, industrial, or automotive facilities.

    Technical trade school certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

    Strong electrical background with experience working on industrial power distribution and high-voltage systems.
