This position serves as a key member of the Qnity Marlborough Maintenance & Facilities team, delivering maintenance support throughout the site to ensure equipment reliability, facility readiness, and uninterrupted operations.

The Maintenance & Facilities Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment across the site. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on pumps, gearboxes, motors, and other rotating equipment, as well as lubricating, cleaning, and repairing machinery and tools. Basic computer skills are required to access maintenance procedures, documentation, and email.

The successful candidate must demonstrate safe work practices, develop clear job task descriptions, and identify the safest methods for completing assigned work. This role may also require reviewing work plans from employees or contractors and issuing safe work permits to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.

Rotating Day Shift (4 on 4 off): 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM

Pay Rate: $28 -$40 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment across the site.
• Provide daily maintenance support for facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Must be available for calls on off hours if problems arise.
• Willing to take responsibility for working safely themselves and any workers under their direction.
• Train new employees on use of tools and equipment. 
• Display mechanical aptitude to fix and install manufacturing and facility type equipment. 
• Identify areas of improvement including design changes and preventive maintenance improvements.
• Interact with production operators to understand issues and concerns and address appropriately.
• Ability to learn quickly and willing to expand knowledge and develop skills in related fields of the competency.

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4 years industrial maintenance experience
• Use of PPE – personal protective equipment
• General computer skills - familiar with Microsoft software tools.

Work Hours:

• Must be able to work all scheduled times of the week.
• The position offers overtime hours contingent on business demand.
