We’re currently seeking dedicated Maintenance and Repair for Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We are hiring for an 8A-4P, M-F, Full-Time position with weekends as assigned or needed.

WHAT YOU DO: 

As a Maintenance and Repair Worker at Luther Acres, you’re an integral part of ensuring our buildings, equipment, and vehicles are safe and well-maintained by utilizing your semi-skilled and skilled trades experience. You’ll do this by performing a variety of duties, including, but not limited to: 

1. Building, electrical, and mechanical trades work to include HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, interior/exterior painting, roof repair, electrical repairs, electronics troubleshooting, vehicle maintenance, etc. Completes troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to avoid costly breakdowns. 
2. Basic tasks, including but not limited to, repairing dry wall and paint; clearing clogged drains and commodes; fixing leaks and replacing faucet washers; repairing sticking doors and noisy hingers; tightening handrails; repairing wheelchairs, vehicles, and small/major appliances.
3. Assisting with snow removal and basic groundskeeping, including trash removal. 
4. Must be willing and able to respond to after-hour calls to weather and/or maintenance emergencies and be available for on-call rotation responsibilities and holiday rotation schedules. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: 

1. A current driver’s license issued by the PA Department of Transportation 
2. High school diploma or equivalent or graduation from a vocational program for this position 
3. Three (3) years of varied semi-skilled tradesman experience 
4. Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety and the ability to use power/hand tools and other maintenance equipment in a safe/efficient manner. 
5. Ability to lift and move sixty (60) to eighty (80) pound objects 

PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES/EDUCATION:  

1. Experience performing HVAC repair and/or installation as well as performing diagnostic repair of AC/DC electrical equipment 
2. Basic computer skills
