Maintenance assistant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our restaurant and facilities. The Maintenance Assistant will support daily upkeep, perform minor repairs, and ensure the property remains in excellent condition for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the restaurant and facility
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment, lighting, plumbing, and basic electrical issues
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
• Assist with installing shelves, fixtures, and other equipment when needed
• Keep storage areas, maintenance rooms, and workspaces clean and organized
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from management or staff
• Assist with trash removal, deliveries, and general upkeep of indoor and outdoor areas
• Ensure compliance with safety and building maintenance standards

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, handyman, or facility support experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
• Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Reliable and able to work independently when needed

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in restaurant, hospitality, or commercial environments
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
• Strong time management and organization skills
