Position: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $17.74/hour

People Source OKC is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform essential preventative maintenance and repair duties for agency buildings and grounds. This role helps ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and able to perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks while working both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:
· Perform carpentry and general building repairs (furniture, cabinets, partitions)
· Install doors, locks, and hardware with attention to quality
· Maintain playground equipment, painting, and building weatherization
· Perform landscaping duties including mowing, pruning, and material installation
· Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and maintain safety documentation (SDS/MSDS)
· Estimate materials and assist with purchase order coordination
· Travel to off-site locations as needed
· Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs
· Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors
· Complete additional duties as assignedRequirements:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Vocational training in building trades preferred
· 3+ years maintenance or related experience (or equivalent experience)
· Valid driver’s license required
· Clean MVR (motor vehicle record) required
· Ability to lift up to 85 lbs
· Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
