Position – Maintenance Assistant

Location: Montello Care Center – Montello, WI (On-site)

Status: Seasonal Temporary - Summer through Fall

Schedule: Days - Monday - Friday with weekend availability when required - flexible schedule 20 hours per week

Job Summary:

The seasonal Maintenance Assistant supports our long-term care community during the summer and fall months. This temporary position assists with facility maintenance, groundskeeping, painting, repairs, landscaping, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and attractive environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining facilities, and can work independently as well as part of a team

Compensation:

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine building and grounds maintenance.
Assist with lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal outdoor projects.
Complete basic repairs, painting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and facility standards.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Support special projects assigned by the Maintenance Director or Facility Administrator.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be able to stand or walk in an 8-hour day.
Must be physically able to waist lift, push and/or pull maximum of 80 pounds and overhead lift a maximum of 50 pounds, with frequent waist lifting and overhead lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to frequently bend, squat or climb during an 8-hour day.
Must have valid driver's license with clear driving record.
