Pacific Coast Producers,a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking a talented and experienced Maintenance Auto Mechanic 2 to join our team at our Production Facility in Salem, OR. PCP is investing in its people and advancing a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America. Our Salem facility produces maraschino cherries and other cherry products in various styles, colors, and flavorsand employs between 70-100 employees.

Pay Rate: $32.71 per hour. Full time/ 40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires work on various shifts.

Primary job duties would include: Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on forklifts and related equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Maintain internal combustion and/or electric forklifts (battery systems, chargers, motors) Respond to breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize operational downtime Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately Ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and company standards Communicate equipment issues and repair timelines with supervisors and operations staff Maintain a clean, organized and hazard free work environment Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager

Pacific Coast Producers is a food processing facility, and it is the responsibility of every employee to perform all job duties and other activities in a manner that upholds the safety and quality of the facilities and products produced. In addition, it is the responsibility of each employee to report all food safety issues or concerns to a Production Manager, Plant Manager or QA Management

Job Requirements: 5+ years of progressive forklift or heavy fleet maintenance experience Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines Experience with multiple forklift brands Welding or fabrication experience Ability to read service manuals and technical diagrams Utilize communication skills to interact with colleagues and internal customers Demonstrates excellent safety record and follows all Good Manufacturing Practices Must possess and maintain a good attendance record Must be LTO certified Must possess a valid driver's license
